DAVID LUIZ "SUPER GOAL - BASEL"

Chelsea beat Basel 3 - 1, with agregate score being 5 - 2 and will fight in the Europe League finals. The game was a franatic 90 minutes with a lot or running, a lot of chances and goals. Basel had a great run in the first 45 minutes. They played it by the book and managed to score at the end of the first half. They only needed one more goal and would go to the finals. But then the tide turned against them

It was minute 50. when Lampard took a shot and placed the ball precisely in the right side of the goal. The goalkeeper managed to deflect the ball with the tip of his fingers but it wasn't enough as it got to Torres who scored as if he was saying ''there you have it'' to all the critics.

Only 2 minutes later Torres started another action that ended up with a ball inside Basel's net. This time it was Moses who got in fron of the keeper and won the 1-on-1 duel to score Chelseas second goal after
which everyone already knew who's going to the finals in Russia.

Third goal was just a routine action, Lampard played the ball to David Luiz who took a shot from 25 meters away and
got one in the net.

Last week there were some rumors about David Luiz possibly being the new Chelsea captain. He came to Chelsea from Benfice in the summer of 2011. In a short amount of time he grew up to be a very versatile player who can play almost any position the coach needs him to. During September and October he proved his worth when he needed to replace injured side back at the team world cup held in Japan.
He managed to make himself usefull and even be the first pick instead of Chelsea legend Frank Lampard when it comes to taking free kicks.
He really attracted attention with his goals against Aston Villa, Fulhan and Basel in the first game of the European League semifinals.
To me, his best goal is the one he scored just a few days ago in the secong leg of the semifanls against Basel. There was at least 25 meter in lenght from the goal but he didn't mind taking a shot and scoring anote ''super goal''.
In the end, all about him screams that he's the next big star in the world of professional football and him getting the honours of being the team captain in Chelsea seems like a very real option, and maybe even in his national team: Brasil.
